A weekend shaped by the landscape

A simple journal of open roads, mountain views and time outside.

Some trips are best kept simple: a good route, time to stop and a landscape worth slowing down for. This short break followed quiet roads through valleys, woodland and high mountain country.

Space to explore

The journey moved from wide rocky plateaus to green passes and sheltered forest. Each change in scenery brought a different pace, with viewpoints and short walks breaking up the drive.

The best part of the weekend was having nowhere else we needed to be.
